i have been neglecting the blog so much this last month. sorry to any of our blog readers! i have 2 weddings and an engagement session to blog, lots of wonderful images are coming!
we had a garage sale this past weekend and while emptying boxes that we have had in storage for years i found the most amazing discovery. an olympus om-1 fully manual camera from the 70′s (which i have now been told more than once was the best camera olympus ever made). it belonged to my dad, and it’s in mint condition, and has 3 beautiful lenses to boot! i miss my dad so much, so not only will using this camera remind me of him, every single aspect of the camera has to be done manually, and i am so ready to take on the challenge of using it! i took a few photos at my engagement session yesterday and dropped off the roll of film as soon as i got home. i am very interested to see what comes from that! when i pick up the developed film, i will add a photo to this post…because really what is a post on a photographer’s blog with no pictures??
**update: i picked up my film, but i also found out today that the camera needed a little tlc. some of the parts weren’t working 100% right, so most of my pics went to a nice new home, the garbage. the focus and metering were off quite a bit, but i will have it back in about ten days all brand spanking new
. i am still adding 2 of the pics i took that i think have a very charming old school quality to them. they aren’t perfect, but i still love them!
