amanda and brian had their first date at angel’s stadium, so it was the perfect location for their engagement session. we had so much fun down on the field, in the locker rooms, in vip boxes, the press conference room, i think we for sure got to go places no one else gets to go! after angel’s stadium we headed to downtown disney, which lasted for about 5 minutes. i guess you need to be escorted on disney grounds when taking photos, who knew? well that did not stop us. brian suggested a new shopping plaza/promenade that had opened recently in anaheim and off we went. our misfortunate at disneyland led us to a gold-mine! this place was amazing! every wall was painted with different colors and murals. photographers paradise :). we had a blast and cannot wait to shoot their wedding coming up in february at the mission inn!!
i also have to give a shout out to araxi for being wonderful and joining me all day for this session :).

stephanie and ben had an amazing wedding at the marvimon house in los angeles. the marvimon is such a cool venue, with perfect backdrops everywhere you look! the wedding had an almost vintage vibe, paired with colorful bouquets, peacock feathers and of course one seriously stylish couple :).the weather could not have been more perfect for the outdoor ceremony and indoor/outdoor reception. a buffet by truly yours catering was set up in the open kitchen area of the loft, the huge projection played photos of the couple, the dj spun tunes and all of the guests mingled and laughed. it was an all around spectacular evening and we could not think of a better way to spend our weekends! we love our job :).

bryan asked me what i thought about the light installation outside the los angeles county museum of art as a cool spot for engagement photos. “hellz ya it is!!”, was my response :), and it was. after we finished up at the lacma we drove over to the arclight, well the parking lot of the arclight. this is where bryan proposed to sarah. i love engagement locations that are totally different, and have significance to the couple. the photos totally reflect these two perfectly and we cannot wait to shoot their wedding next weekend at henson studios!

as we drove up the extremely windy mountain leading to lake arrowhead i got scared (i have a huge fear of heights) and then i got happy, excited, and a bit dizzy :). stephene and josh were getting married high above the frenzied pace of the city. the cold air hit us as soon as we stepped out of the car, as well as the beauty all around; the trees with fall colored leaves, the glistening water of the lake and of course our stunning bride and groom. stephene and josh put together such an amazing event, incorporating all of the colors of october and using the gorgeous backdrop of their location perfectly. the bridesmaids wore a beautiful shade of brown, the bouquets featured flowers of orange, yellow, red and white, a wedding cake on top of a tree stump that the groomsmen hauled all the way from home. every detail was perfectly thought out. we also got to spend the next day with stephene and josh, a true day after session. we strolled around the village, wandered through the trees and of course had to stop by the pumpkin patch :).

location: lake arrowhead resort and spa
flowers: Fleuris Flower Studio
dj: cliff bell

evelyn and joe had a beautiful, intimate wedding under the stars at tivoli too! in laguna beach surrounded by friends and family. all the little details were amazing especially the special flower covered harness for evelyn and joe’s dog arial and the dog bed beside the bride/groom table! i have never seen a bridal party with as many smooth moves as these guys and girls had! it was a blast; yummy food, great music, an awesome location and wonderful people!

andrea and david are adorable people, they are charming together and we feel lucky to know them. we are lucky people, we have wonderful clients who are in love and are excited. this is the best job ever! andrea and david’s wedding was amazing, the colors, the crowd…everything was perfection. there were so many little personal touches throughout the day; andrea’s family are from argentina and david (who does not speak spanish) had vows written for andrea in spanish! everyone was laughing and crying. he got a huge round of cheers after he finished. everyone enjoyed a beautiful slideshow/video, and the final surprise of the night, flamenco dancers! we had such a wonderful time working with andrea and david throughout the year, and all the steps along the way, to plan this fantastic day :)

location: spanish hills country club
flowers: flora by fauna

alichia and thomas are from chicago and planned their wonderful wedding at the platinum hotel in fabulous las vegas. this hotel is my new place to stay while in vegas, it is a little off the strip but the rooms are like apartments with kitchens and washer/dryers, and my personal fav huge jet tubs. as you stepped off the elevator there were the coolest couches, mirrors, paintings and each floor was different! photo opportunity heaven! alichia and thomas had a delightful group of family and friends join them at their wedding, including the one and only elvis :). the wind really picked up on the 17th floor where the reception was held but that did not stop anyone from dancing the night way, skirts flying and all. to top everything off, we got to spend the next morning with alichia and thomas around the strip. even after a full day of wedding activities the day before they both stepped off the elevators looking radiant and ready for more photos! we had such a wonderful time with this amazing couple and wished we could have joined them in fiji for their honeymoon, but instead we headed home to good old los angeles so we could get to work on their fantastic photos! :).

shandi came running out of the coffee shop on the corner of melrose and fairfax as soon as she saw us. she looked picture perfect, and quickly grabbed richard who was trying to enjoy some breakfast before our very early start! they were a little nervous, but very excited. we had so many ideas and knew this was the couple we could try them out on! melrose was quiet but the bright colors of all the storefronts beckoned us. we wondered through back alleys, found the cutest wall featuring graffiti art of “where the wildthings are”, and of course saw hundreds of “gossip girl” posters which was the inspiration for two of our photos! whatever crazy ideas we had, these two were up for them! shandi and richard are an amazing couple…i mean just check those shoes out, and we cannot wait for their wedding in july :).
