i have known the bledin family for a very long time. anthony was one of my dad’s best friends, cheryl one of my mom’s, jessica and i were the same age, lara was just a little bit younger than my brother. we spent many holidays and friday nights over at their house. when jessica went to standford, i drove down from santa cruz to visit. when eric and i got married, the bledin’s were there, when jessica and david got married, we were all together to celebrate once again. it’s been truly wonderful having the bledin’s as friends for so many years. when jessica asked me to take family photos after new year’s i was so excited. i absolutely love how fun these portraits came out! i didn’t expect anything less from such a gorgeous family, and wonderful friends!

anna and allen are the ultimate eight20 couple….they booked us on 8/20!! on our anniversary allen’s friend jennifer wrote us an email and shortly after allen called saying that they would both like to book us for their weddings coming up. it was a wonderful anniversary gift to book two wonderful couples for our 2010 wedding season :). i met up with anna and allen at the getty museum in los angeles the week after christmas. we probably should have anticipated the tons of people and the hour it took to get from sepulveda just into the parking lot but nevertheless it ended up being a wonderful afternoon and i absolutely love the shots for their session. anna and allen have infectious smiles and such warm personalities that really shine through in their engagement photos. i am so excited for their wedding coming up in april!

Great work Nicky, always a fan of your modern and edgy style. And you can never get tired shooting at Getty Center right?? :)
