a few weeks ago i had the pleasure of shooting with my good friend meghan of meghan aileen photography. we have been so lucky to meet such wonderful people in the wedding photography industry, who we feel secure sending clients to when we are booked; and of course if anything should happen to me or eric which would prevent either of us from shooting, we have some awesome back-ups! meghan and i started our day super early, 6:30am early! it turned out to be a beautiful wedding, an adorable couple, and i am so glad i was able to help out.

boudoir is a wonderful and surprising gift you can give to your significant other. it can be scary, and overwhelming but you will always have these photos to look back on and go, “damn, i am hot :) .” if it takes all day to get the perfect shots, then that is fine with us. if you have any questions about boudoir or would like to schedule a session, send us an email and we will give you all the information you need. we will never post boudoir images without the permission of our clients, but here is a small teaser of some of stephanie’s pics, with her permission of course, shot at el matador state beach in malibu. i met up with stephanie early in the morning, to avoid any crowds. when we arrived, we were the only ones on the beach! we quickly took advantage of having no one around, and got some really sexy photos, which will not be posted here ;) . boudoir is usually done in a bedroom setting, but i thought the beach was an awesome idea and stephanie being the perfect california girl really worked it!

ingrid and christopher booked us one month before their wedding! we are so happy that we still had their date still available. ingrid and christopher put so much thought into every little detail; parasols, photo table numbers, beautiful bouquets, adorable place cards with either a fish, cow, or chicken on the back to indicate meal choice, the perfect red accents throughout, and of course a gorgeous couple! ingrid and christopher’s wedding took place at the torrance marriot, with an outdoor ceremony under the garden gazebo, cocktail hour in the zen garden followed by an indoor reception. it was one hot day, but ingrid and christopher kept their smiles through all the outdoor photos! ingrid’s brother gave one of the most touching speeches i had ever heard, such a sweet little bro :). everyone, including us had a blast at this wedding, the dance floor was rocking through the night.

janete and daniel had an amazing wedding with five different locations. each step of their wedding was completely different. we started with group photos at a park in rancho palos verdes; followed by their ceremony at the beautiful wayfarers chapel; bride/groom photos at the korean friendship bell and point fermin lighthouse; finally ending with their reception at prince seafood restaurant in cerritos. what a day! the wayfarers chapel is an amazing glass church surrounded by towering trees. you almost feel like you’re not in southern california anymore. once we got to the reception, the guests were treated to a 10 course chinese dinner and an array of fun games. my favorite was when they stood back to back, holding a toasting glass (which represented dan) and a rose (representing janete). they were then asked questions like: “who is a better cook;” “who will take better care of the other one when they are older.” to answer they had to hold up either the glass or rose without seeing the other’s response. as you can see from the pics they didn’t get them all right…they scored about an 80% :). it was a wonderful wedding, and we really enjoyed all the different aspects of the day!

amanda and shaun are the cutest, sweetest couple you could ever meet! they had their ceremony and dessert reception at shaun’s grandfather’s home in ventura. the weather was perfect, they both looked amazing. amanda has a stunning smile, and she was smiling all day :). the details were all so carefully thought out; from flowers in amanda’s hair, the candy bar, the cake and all the desserts, yum! after their reception guests threw rice as amanda and shaun ran down the hill towards a car decked out with just married, honeymoon or bust, and congrats signs, cans trailing behind and flowers attached to the mirrors. i am sure they got lots of honks driving around in that car!

kaitlin’s mom’s ranch in ojai set the scene for this beautiful outdoor wedding. this is one amazing pair. tyler is in the military and kaitlin is a pilot! they live out of state but still managed to plan a stunning wedding, with the help of a wonderful wedding planner susan ferro and kaitlin’s mom sally. as i arrived at the ranch, the first thing i noticed were the hanging lanterns intertwined amongst old, majestic trees. the color combination of chocolate brown and lemon yellow, was breathtaking, straw covered the ground, horses ran in the background and the lanterns swayed. the smell of bbq smoke filled the air as the ceremony began. this was an all around wonderful wedding, along with a beautiful couple. a big thank you to michael andrews for helping out with this wedding!

eric and i met vivian, tony and their beautiful baby, carolina, at the bel air bay club on what couldn’t have been a more perfect morning. we took some photos up at the club and then headed down to the beach. this is one gorgeous family and carolina was the most well behaved baby! eric is somewhat of a baby whisperer, babies just love him :). we really enjoy family sessions, and had a wonderful morning with the cheng family.

on saturday, eric and i headed to the grove to pick up some balloons for my birthday party. my brother, michael, and his girlfriend, katie, came along and we decided to do a quick photo session on the roof of the parking garage. the balloons happened to make a nice prop and i really like how these turned out. i gotta give a great big thank you to katie for being such a good sport, she is a little bit camera shy. my brother on the other hand….:)

i have no doubt in my mind why bryan fell in love with alison. it’s hard not to. alison is the type of person you meet that you just want to be friends with. bryan also has that quality. eric and i have been so fortunate to have these two as clients. every email that was sent; every call that was made was always enthusiastic, and always happy. whether it was wedding related, or just to say hi, getting emails from alison always made me smile.
then came their wedding. the sun came out just in time; the vows made me cry; and bryan singing to alison, well, it was a wedding right out of a movie that you want to see over and over again. alison and bryan both looked stunning in their wedding attire, and alison’s choice of orange and pink worked perfectly against the green grass and blue skies at spanish hills. it was the perfect day, the perfect wedding, and the perfect couple.

dana and rob are such an expressive, cool, good looking couple. we knew their wedding would be a total blast. dana, her mom and aunt did all the flowers and bouquets, each centerpiece featured birds, butterflies, feathers and pomander balls. it was so creative, with an almost wonderland feel. their wedding at calamigos ranch had to be moved inside because of the random may rainstorm. dana and rob did not let that rain get in the way of their wedding day and it was awesome. luckily we still had the chance to do portraits outside. while we were doing the portraits we spotted a cow (a real cow) on the calamigos property. we had to take some photos with it, but during the process it started munching on dana’s bouquet which then became a nice soggy mess! we had such a great time as this wedding, along with all the guests who danced the night away.
